Plugged In--

This week we were plagued by the FLU!! Thank the Lord that none of us BIG people got it and only Little Man had it. We were also very fortunate because little man only had it bad for a day or so and ran a low fever the other 4 days (it could have been much worse--- the doctor said up to 10 days!! Just shoot me now).

So over the last 5 days, little man has watched probably more TV then he has in his whole 4yr old career. I never knew there were so many 'Dirty Jobs' out in the world or that people get paid to Smash things up. He can quote the Fight Quest commercial and knows that if you get 3 strikes, then you get thrown out of the Cash Cab. So we pretty much overplayed the Discovery Channel the last few days and little man decided he was going to find something else to watch.

Next thing I know he is watching infomercial TV and trying to convince me that I need an Air Climber.

Little Man: 'See Mommy, all you have to do is walk like this...and your walking on Air'

TV: 'You'll loose at least 10in or 10lbs in 10 days! Guaranteed or your money back!'

Little Man: 'Like Nutri-system!'

I think it is time to pull the cord.

FAME! (or not)

We are famous! Well, sort of....or not really at all. My sister and I were lucky enough to be used on our make-up artist's website. Shannon is the very first bride to pop up in black in white at the top, every time you open the page! Hues by Heather does GREAT work, so if you are in the market for a make-up artist, I would for sure recommend her!

'Un-Veiled'

On our way out of school the other day, Little Man pointed out one of his classmates oh so coveted minivans and then pointed out, 'That's his mom'... (I know I am going to either offend someone or sound ignorant, so here is your warning).
The woman was of Middle Eastern decent (I think she might have been Muslim?), and was wrapped from head to toe in black. But I do have to give her props since her head veil had rhinestones delicately sewn around the edges...if my culture/religion required me to wear something of this nature, I think I would have to add some sparkles to it also.

ANYWAY, after a long pause, Little Man said, ' I don't know why she wears that...(pause, deep thought)...maybe she has a really great hair-do and she doesn't want any one else to get one like her...'

I just smiled and said 'Maybe!' And curiosity was satisfied for that moment.
A deep religious discussion with my 4yr old was not in my plans that day.

Head Christmas Highlights

This year was my first Christmas as a wife, and our first Christmas as a family, and I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas. For those of you who wondered how the Long Blaster went over here is little man on Christmas morning.

Some Highlights:
1) Little man fishing with TWO real hooks!

2) A remote control airplane nesting in the very top branches of a TALL pine tree.

3) Skeet shooting on Christmas Eve (with MY very own gun).

4) A beautiful aluminum salad bowl (which i LOVE)
5) Little man loosing his side burns to a lady with over zealous clippers

6) Matching PJ's

8) Having 10 Christmas light bulbs stolen out of our front yard (the clear C9s are apparently a hot item)

9) Needing two SUVs to get all the Head family and Christmas paraphernalia to our Christmas destination
10) Remembering to buy the batteries for the electronic toys but forgetting to take them with us in our two SUVs.
Happy New Year everybody! (more Christmas pictures)
