Rumors!? Secrets!?

Yes yes, the rumors are true! We are expecting! I am 11 weeks and due March 1, 2009. Surprisingly, I have only had some nausea and the 'throw-up fairy' has not visited me. Which is great, since I was sick the first 4 months with William. Of course I have been pretty exhausted and I would have thought I had mono if I didn't know I was pregnant. Eating has been a chore, my appetite has gone down, and I can only eat small portions at a sitting. But I have to eat just about every 2 hrs or I get a huge headache. Needless to say I am tired of eating.

No real noticeable bump yet. I just feel fat and bloated. William is very excited of course, and is kind of obsessed with tummies right now. He will rub on just about any ones belly (male or female) so don't be alarmed if he does it to you! He says he would like to have a brother so he could help him beat up Vim with wrestling, but he also thinks it would be a good idea to have a sister so that Mom had someone to hang out with during 'boy time'. Just to clarify we are not having twins. Next week we go in and should be able to hear the heart beat.

Dad is of course also ecstatic. He really has been a prince in understanding how tired I am...he comes home just about every night from work, does the dishes, plays with William, bathes him, and gets him to bed. He really is trying to make life easier for me right now. He has been so patient with me over the last few weeks...thank you love!!

I will of course keep you posted on all the baby news. Here is our ultra sound at 9 weeks. The baby is laying side ways, the head is on the right, and the feet are on the left.

Surfin' USA

We have so many things going on right now...I have a ton of blog posts I want to make but not a ton of time. Soooo, here it goes...

This past weekend we went to Austin for our dear friends, Jordan and Anne, couples baby shower. While we were there, we spent some time out on Lake Austin because if you know anything about Anne and Jordan (or even my husband and I) we are all water rats. We spend most weekends and any free time on the water, wake boarding, surfing and swimming during the summer. Before going, we decided it was time that Little Man got his own wake board. He tried several times to get up but has not mastered it yet. I am very confident though that in the very near future I will blogging about him wake boarding.

Anywayyyy, so a few years ago we got Little Man out on the surf board with Vim. And Little Man decided that it was time to get out there again. He wake surfed with Vim and with Jordan and had a great time.

Gone Fishing...

Little Man and Vim have taken up a new hobby a couple nights a week. We have a neighborhood pond almost directly across from our house that they love to go over to for about 30-45 mins each night and catch fish. They use hot dogs, biscuits, bread, etc. as bait. Now we fish quite a bit down at our river house and little man had caught fish before but always with some assistance. But the other night little man caught his first fish all by himself, no assistance needed! He casted, hooked, and reeled in his own fish! Vim was sure to explain to little man that if you hold the fish way out it looks bigger in the picture! (it actually was a pretty good size catfish)

He said this was a 'Daddy Catfish'

T - R - U - DAWG

William loves this song on Toby Mac's CD. Its Toby Mac's son, Truett rapping. So on our way to the Frio I caught him jamming out to it. And the snorkeling mask is just an added bonus!

Hard working men...

My boys planted flowers yesterday in our front yard. I was not blessed with a 'green thumb' and this is our 3rd or 4th try at planting flowers. We are trying a new technique this time...we planted all the flowers close together so maybe this time they will live longer. I also bought some Miracle Grow, so we are hoping for a Miracle! But as of right now, they look great!

Part 2: 4th of July

Although we love our dog Fletcher, he tends to be a more 'sophisticated' dog, so we were not sure how he would handle camping with no AC for 4 days straight, swimming in the river and being around all the other dogs. I have to say though, that he was a trooper and did great. It took him awhile to 'warm' up to the river. At first he would just put his toes in and then he would get in up to his knees...finally, after watching the other dogs swim around he managed to gain the courage and cross the river on the 2nd day. He still had his 'sophisticated' moments but overall he did great. He had so much fun he has slept for the last 2 days straight...(he made himself comfortable on his own sunning chair)

(he is asleep on Vim's knee)

Happy 4th of July!

Every year some very dear, close friends of the Head Family invite all of the Heads down to their property on the Frio River for the 4th of July. The amount of fun and craziness that goes on down there is indescribable. I mean, these people celebrate the 4th like some people celebrate Christmas...its a 4 day event, and it is done right. Here are some pictures to give you a glimpse into the madness of the festivities.

More pictures to come...
